Each precious pearl is resilient and is meant to be worn as an ornament, but these pearls are also delicate and require proper care. Today we are sharing with you the guidelines to enjoy your pearl jewellery- necklace, rings, or earrings, and protect them to pass on as an heirloom to your next generations. Whenever you are in doubt about any aspect of pearl care, take your pearls to an authorised Pearl dealer.

Pearl Daily Care

Pearl Daily Care

We all know that Pearls are organic gemstones that are sensitive to excessive humidity, acid and alkaline. To keep your pearls’ radiance intact, protect them from coming into contact with cosmetics, hair spray, or perfume. Always put on your jewellery as a final touch, after applying makeup and styling your hair.

Perspiration can also harm the lustre of your pearl jewellery. To prevent this, wipe your pearl jewellery with a soft muslin cloth before keeping it back into the jewellery box.

Pearl Storage

Pearls are especially cohesive and shock-resistant but may be scratched by contact with sharp objects, metals or other gemstones. To prevent tangles and scratches, fasten pins and clasps, then lay each piece of jewellery out separately in a sectioned jewellery box. When carrying jewellery in travel, use a protective jewellery pouch.

Leaving your pearl jewellery in a security box for a long period of time may cause pearls to dehydrate, so it is recommended that you enjoy wearing them frequently. There is a famous saying that goes “Pearls want to be worn,” and it is absolutely true!
